Your safety

Staying safe.

We work hard to keep mindate real and kind. Meeting someone new still asks for a little care — here's how to look after yourself.

  1. Meet in public first.

A busy café, daylight, somewhere you know. Save the quiet places for when they're no longer a stranger.

  2. Tell someone.

Let a friend know where you're going and when you'll be back. A quick text is enough.

  3. Video-call before you meet.

A short call confirms they're exactly who you've been talking to — the same face you unblurred.

  4. Take it at your pace.

There's no clock here. Slow isn't a problem on mindate — it's the whole point.

  5. Trust your gut.

If something feels off, it is off. You never owe anyone a reply, a meeting, or a second chance.

  6. Block or report, any time.

It's one tap and always within reach — no explanation needed, and we read every report.

What we can — and can’t — promise

We verify every face is a real, present person, and chat is words-only, so nothing explicit reaches you unasked. But we can’t vet anyone’s character, history, or intentions — no app can. A mindate match is a genuine person and a real wavelength; whether they’re right for you is yours to judge. The full legal detail lives in our Terms.

We’ll keep it real. You keep it safe.
